So let’s start with Thanksgiving. Well as planned, we cooked a huge Thanksgiving dinner and invited a few couples and singles over to join us. We had the whole spread but unfortunately had 3 times as much as we ended up eating as leftovers. We are always so bad about leftovers; we ended up eating maybe two turkey sandwiches then throwing the rest away this weekend, oh well! The day after Thanksgiving was much more entertaining for me; shopping!!! We completed most of our shopping with the exception of the gifts for the family Christmas party and the kid’s gift exchange (BTW, we need to get those names drawn so we can do that shopping sooner than later).
This week one of our local radio stations did their annual "Stuff the Bus" , which helps Toys for Tots. After school one day this week we took the girls to a store and had them pick out anything they wanted. After they chose their gifts we told them we were going to be donating them to kids less fortunate and dropping them off at "Stuff the Bus" (they seemed a little heartbroken at first). Once we got there they all felt good about it donanting and were really amazed by the 6 full buses of donated toys. The "stuff the Bus" campaign did really well this year because the goal was 6 buses but by the end of the week they filled ten. Our kids are especially spoiled this time of year so reminding them that there are other kids with a lot less is always very important to us.
Even though soccer season is over, Saturday's are still a constant race. Yesterday we got up, had breakfast, cleaned up a little, then started getting ready for the girls Christmas program. Things were going well until I went in to help the girls with their hair and teeth. Alainna has had these two loose teeth on the bottom for about a month now and all it took was me helping her with brush her teeth to solve that problem. It was hilarious (not for her); I told her to spit and in the sink, and along with toothpaste was some blood (oh no!!). I immediately closed the drain and stopped the water but it was too late. She was upset of course because it was her first tooth, but I tried as hard as a Daddy could to recover it. I took apart the piping under the sink and flushed the lines in attempt to find it but no luck (found a lot of hair, 2 pennies and a BB). We convinced her that a note would be suffice for the tooth fairy and she seemed ok with that. So through the drama of the tooth, I totally lost track of time and before we knew it we were already late for Isabel's show-up time. We jumped in the car and flew to the city library, making it about 2 minutes before Isabel was to go on (we got lucky). As always we had just enough time between girls' shows making it not worth making the trip home and leaving us having to spend more money killing time (lunch, shopping, etc...). After Alainna's show we did the Saturday ritual things like eyebrows, carwashes and shopping. We also let the girls go shopping for each other yesterday which they all really enjoyed. MB has her Christmas program this week and then we're all finished for the year, yay!!!
So we only have one more week to go. We can't wait to get to some warm weather, and those little authentic tacos!!!!

We had a similar thing with Lindsay's tooth a couple weeks ago. That thing was hanging on by a thread, but she wouldn't let us pull it. Well, one day when it actually rained here, she banged her mouth on her umbrella and it popped out. We can't wait to see you guys and the girls!
Likewise, it's been forever!!!
I think the tooth fairy should double up since someone else was brushing her teeth when it fell out. Not her fault dad lost it!
Hey... you watch it there!!!! lol
Well she looks darling with the gap and I'm sure she is glad it is out. Wish I could've been at the Christmas programs. And Thanksgiving for that matter. Soon enough I will see my girls- can't wait.
