So it's Sunday and we're finally finishing up going through all of the clothes in storage and the condo; you know what to keep for later, what to send to family (which family) and what to throw out. So much easier said than done! We've been working on this stuff for weeks and we're just wrapping things up. Those of you waiting on clothes, we'll be sending stuff off sometime this week.... Should be.
Now we've got to find places for this stuff that we're keeping... Cami we know you're moving and you need stuff... hint hint hint...
As for the girls...
MaryBeth, is doing ok at school (not liking it) and still has gymnastics on Thursdays keeping her busy when she's not going to what seems like all of the birthday parties in her school. No joke every weekend she has one to go to and you know what that means... she has to take a present with her. Her Granny is out here for the next week to take care of her and her little sisters on her mom's side while Beth is out of town.
Alainna, is doing great in class as always, has hip-hop Tuesdays (loving it) and soccer Thursday nights and thoroughly enjoying it. SLEEP OVERS... She's starting to get really excited about sleep overs she's getting to that age where her friends are inviting her; and we're letting her go a little more now because she's getting older and we have to let go a little more all the time even though I'd like to keep her as close as I can for as long as I can. That's the mommy in me.
Isabel, she is doing just fine at everything; School and dance (she wants to do hip-hop next year with Alainna). She's our talker so we're just glad that she has things to keep her busy. She has also taken the lead in our household; bossing MaryBeth and Alainna around all the time you all should see her at work.
Ric and I are still chugging away at work while counting down the days until we get to leave here. We got a little news of a set back with Ric's orders this week though. It's looking likr he might not be getting the boat that we wanted because there was another guy that was told he'd get it (because it's going into the shipyards for 18mos not to sea) . He was told he could have the USS Maine but it's not goint to be out of the water that much which means that he will be going to sea... So we have to decide if we want Bangor still. We've been looking at the cost of living in other available areas that we could go; WA, CA ,HI, CT, GA. Sorry guys we've considered San Diego but the cost of living out there is just too high not to mention any boat he gets out of there would put him out to sea all of the time anyway. This will be a tough decision to make for us because we'll take a pay cut almost everywhere we go. Going to Wa (the cost of living is lower) and he'll still be going out to sea (every 4 1/2 mos for 2 1/2 mos) just like before.
What we have decided is that we do not want to stay in Va. We'll see what happens...

I know what you mean about the "getting rid of stuff". It takes forever. I didn't know about the complication with Ric's orders but good luck with that decision. I still hope to make a visit bfore you leave VA, but the dates I was planning were not good with my boss, he has a conference those dates. So, I will keep looking and figure it out.
my vote is for CA. If we can survive it out here, so can you guys....and it would be nice to be able to see all of you more often :)
